Club Meets

Club Meets are normally organised once a month.  They can be:

  • Saturday Meets are usually day walks in the winter months between January and March in the mountains of the North of England and North Wales (Lake District, Howgill Fells, Yorkshire Dales, Pennines, Peak District or Snowdonia).
  • Weekend Meets usually take place in the period April to December in the mountains of England and Wales (and can include areas furher afield than is possible for Saturday meets (including the mountains of Mid Wales, the Brecon Beacons and Dartmoor). They normally involve camping in the summer months and indoor accommodation at other times and involve both walking and climbing and sometimes backpacking and wild camping or mountain biking. Weekend meets in the Lake District often take place at The Barn at Causeway Foot Farm near Keswick. Information about the Barn can be obtained by clicking the menu item in the sidebar opposite.
  • Longer Meets usually take place in the summer months between April and September and last for about one or two weeks, normally using indoor accommodation such as outdoor centres, mountain huts or chalets and involve both walking and climbing. They usually take place in further afield in the highlands and islands of Scotland or in the mountain regions of mainland Europe, such as the Alps, the Dolomites or the Pyrenees.
