Adventure Camp - May '24
The BBMC is organising another Adventure Camp at the BB West Midland District Camping Centre at Dyffryn Ardudwy in North Wales from 27 May - 1 June 202,4 which includes the Spring Bank Holiday Monday, so leaders will only need to take four days' leave in order to attend.
We hope to offer a range of adventure activities (using CMC Adventure for activities that we cannot run with our own qualified and experienced leaders). We aim to provide each young person and leader with a selection of activities from: mountain walking, scrambling, kayaking, open canoeing, rock climbing/abseiling, gorge walking, paddle boarding, raft building, wilderness skills, sailing, archery, orienteering and initiative challenges.

Dyffryn Ardudwy is on the North Wales coast between Barmouth and Harlech in the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. It is one of the few locations in the UK where there is a Boys' Brigade campsite from which both mountain-based and sea-based adventure activities can be enjoyed. The site is very convenient for watersports in the tidal estuary at Pensarn Harbour (where CMC Adventure is based) and for the Rhinogydd mountains (Rhinogs), which is the one of the most rugged and wild range of mountains in Eryri (Snowdonia). It is also within reach of all the main peaks of the National Park and a beautiful beach with impressive sand dunes is just a 15 minutes' walk from the campsite.
We have had to increase the fees slightly for this year's camp, to take account of inflation. This year's fees and details regarding who can attend can be found by clicking here.
