Keswick ConVenture 2020

At the BB Xtreme event in 2017 Ithe forerunner of Keswick ConVenture, we were able to offer kayaking, rock climbing, abseiling, fell walking and scrambling as activities at an event called BB Xtreme. This camp was highly successful and we would like to repeat it with the name Keswick ConVenture in 2020. Planning is at the early stage, but the dates are likely to be 24-28 August. If we can find volunteers with the right outdoor qualifications (BCU Coach, Mountain Leader, and Rock Climbing Instructor), we will be able to again offer kayaking, scrambling and rock climbing, as well as fell walking. For fell walking, more leaders with the BB's Expedition & Outdoor Leadership Advanced Certificate would also be useful. We would love to hear from volunteers who possess these qualifications and who are able to help instruct groups of young people at this event.

Groups will be make their own bookings at the campsite, provide their own camping equipment and food and their leaders will be responsible for supervising their young people at all times as well as catering for them.

More information about Keswick ConVenture can be obtained from the Publicity Leaflet we produced for the 2018 event (unfortunately, we sadly had to cancel Keswick ConVenture in 2018).

If you are a leader who is interested in bringing a group of young people to the Keswick Conventure Camp, if you are a young leader aged 18-25, or if you have the outdoor qualifications we need and can help with the activities, please complete the Contact Form with the subject "Keswick ConVenture".
