BB Xtreme 2017

A number of BBMC leaders together with 2nd Reading BB ran a pilot camp in 2017, called BB Xtreme, at the Hollows Farm campsite near Grange in Borrowdale, with the help of two BB Canoe Club coaches, to prove the whole concept of running an adventure camp alongside the Keswick Convention. We are grateful to the Seniors and leaders of 2nd Reading who acted as our guinea pigs.

Kayaking on Derwentwater at the BB Xtreme 2017 event

The young people spent one day kayaking on Derwentwater and the River Derwent, one day rock climbing on Woden's Face in Borrowdale and one day's scrambling up Hall's Fell and down Doddick Fell on Blencathra. The evenings were spent at the Convention with the young people attending the Keswick Youth Programme at the Rawnsey Centre and the leaders attending the Evening Celebration in the main tent.
