2- Night Adventure Camp - Further Details
Dyffryn Ardudwy is on the North Wales coast between Barmouth and Harlech in the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park. It is one of the few locations in the UK where there is a Boys' Brigade campsite from which both mountain-based and sea-based adventure activities can be enjoyed. The site is very convenient for watersports in the tidal estuary at Pensarn Harbour (where CMC Adventure is based) and for the Rhinogydd mountains (Rhinogs), which is the one of the most rugged and wildest range of mountains in England and Wales. It is also within reach of all the main peaks of the Eryri National Park and a beautiful beach with impressive sand dunes is just a 15 minutes' walk from the campsite.
The camp is ideallly aimed at young people in Year 9 and above, but younger Company Section members can attend, if they are adventurous, physically fit, well equipped and act responsibly. Leaders are welcome to attend, if they bring young people or have qualifications that would allow them to lead activities and/or can help in the kitchen, with other camp duties or just help supervise young people. Young Leaders (up to 26) are also welcome to attend the camp on their own or with young people.
The £20 per person per night fee for the camp which will cover campsite fees, utilities (water, electricity and gas) used, food and all the adventure activities provided by the BBMC. Although it is being advertised as a 2-night camp, it will also be possible to book for 1 or 3 nights (Wednesday to Friday nights).
